Tough but fair. Thanks!
I've been doing NYT puzzles since I was 11 and I'm 63. I got personal records both yesterday and today. Granted, I don't often do Mondays or Tuesdays anymore, and I know the puzzles have eased up in general over time, but I thought I'd brag anyway.
A can-do Wednesday
Solid! Enjoyed the long entries
I like it when a Wednesday isn't a Tuesday
Fun! And a little more challenging than most Sundays
This was absolutely brilliant.
Super hard. I loved this.
Cute; enjoyed this
Fun, good Friday.
Very fun and friictionless for a Saturday
Wow, the theme only became clear after solving
Nice challenge; fun theme
Nice long acrosses and center stack. Pitched just right for Sunday
Lovely. I'd been missing the old, no-foothold-for-minutes feeling.
This one plays well with a few drinks in you in case anyone is interested
But what is WEIGH THE ESIXDENCE?
That was super fun. Thanks, constructor!
Enjoyed this; thanks!
Fastest Thursday in a long time
Just loved this one in every way. More Morenus!
Fun rebus concept. Well done.
Breezy and fun. Thanks!
This one put up a fight. I enjoyed it
Loved this, Dr. Donaldson
Now that was fun. Props!
Excellent Friday. No real hiccups but a steady challenge
@Weak This will make a great dementia tracker!
@Mary Hudson Order, noun: a group of people united in a formal way Calling card: broadly, an identifying mark Definitely misleading clues, but it's Saturday.
Another fun, breezy one.
A little slow going, but I enjoy the "meta" aspect of this one
Quick but fun
Fun and quicker than most Thursdays by far
Very little resistance for a Saturday, but enjoyable entries
Finished fast for me again. A good (or just easy?) week.
Nice medium Sunday for me. Thanks!
What, no little candy bar pictures?
Fun concept with breezy cluing. Thanks!
@Stephen That would really turn the tables; but are there even enough such entries in the tank, or are we only able to talk the talk because the task would beat the tar out of us?
@Bob T. What do you mean by "stats is calling it average"? Is there some page that tracks the general solving stats for today's puzzle, as opposed to the user's own long-term average?
@Weak Did not know that; thanks! And it's only 52 years.
Does close count?

@Weak It was 7:03 today, which is just a little slow for a Wednesday. I've had 52 years to practice. And compared to tournament-speed solvers, including Mike ^^^, that's pretty pedestrian. It takes all speeds.
@Weak As to the "Does close count?" comment, I was just priming the "horseshoes and grenades reply", because ring toss.
