nOOREBUSES!!!!!!
I took a look at the tips…….Saw something about refuses…….and I’m NOT doin’ it!!!I don’t meet any dang shenanigans on puzzles I’doin’! just give me a straight forward puzzle with fir clues, and no cutesy clever ones……I’m good! but I refuse to do this kind of puzzle! sure I’m missing out on some entertainment! but also frustration , for not having to mess with. All the tricks! for me… KISS!
aug.10 puzzle.Once again, thanks for the early notice, in the preamble, that there were at least one rebus, surely more! so, no puzzle ME tonight! which if frustrating in a couple different ways! in closing, I’l say DOWN WITH REBUSES!
Sep.21 puzzle. the preamble mentions couple of rebuses! thanks for the advance notes, as I won’t be wasting my time on it!,Sure, you may say it’s my loss! .but, I have my conviction s on what kind of puzzle I will or won’t do. I’m annoyed that my son’s git subscription of the NYT puzzle is being wasted! But, that’s life, right?!
Ya did it AGAIN…..REBUS!! I’m NOT GONNA DO IT!! sTOP IT!!
may 15, 2025crosswordThanks for the heads about the rebus! as y’all may recall…..I DON’T DO ‘EM!It’s a waste of my son’s money for this gift subscription! y’all don’t do ‘em often, thank goodness! But they still get me riled up! Joe Piwetz Jfpiwetz@gmail.com
No rebuses!!But, thanks for letting me know me know in advance! but once again, a small portion of my son’ gift subscription goes to waste! I DON’T like wasting my son’s money!! Jfpiwetz@gmail.com.
Thanks for the heads up about the rebuses! I wouldn’t have been happy to discover them after I sorted! pardon me, but I DON’T like them! they waste a night of potential puzzle solving! but continue on with your cuteness and tricks! just let me know in the preamble! Jfpiwetz@gmail.com
apri25:Once again puddle wit a cutesy themed and cutesy and clever clues and answers! stOPIT!takes most of the fun out of doing the puzzle , and it wants the subscription my son gave to me for my birthday. I don’t like people messing wit( my kid’s money!
I’ve said before… don’t like the rebus.. Several clues and answered were old style!
nOREBUSES!!! aSSOON ASIFind OUTTHErRE REANY …..I WILLSKIPIT!! ins that y’all’s intent??!!
Well,I saw the word ‘rebus’, and I immediately checked out!!NO rebus for this guy! only thing…..THANKS for letting me know before I wasted time starting it!But, for the fire….for me….the fewer rebuses the better!
@JJ Being one myself, i enjoy this community of other cluckers and the amusement it brings: a daily Fowl Ball I AM NOT ONE OF THOSE the author fondly mentions, and associate s with! power to you and your faithful comrades! i’M NOToNE! dON’T do REBUSEsS, or anything that sounds like it! create your own little club, and rebus to your pea picking’ heart’s content!!
@Diana ,You had more patience than I di! as soon as I read the preamble , I said, too CUTSY CLEVER!NO for Me!Then sent a rather angry message !
No!,NO!,NO!, NOT another rebus puzzle!I’m gonna just pass up the dang thing! you already know my feelings! I expect ther are enough hard core puzzle nuts that MIGHT appreciate a rebus now and then….I’m NOT ONE! and figure I’m too old to become one! I don’t care if you “publis” my question! I just wanna make myself heard!!
@Joseph Piwetz also, I respect the passion Sam Corbin shows in her preambles! that’s sorta cool to recognize her passion! but, again…I’m NOT gonna get to that level! respect those of us that dont!
Thursday, Nov.320. thanks for mentioning the lack of a rebus early in the preamble! but, from there, for me, it was all downhill! the cuteness and oddity of the answers were just too much foe me! for my enjoyment, the KISS method is best! although , I should give a tip of the happiest to those out there that enjoy the jazzed up crosswords! I, do not, so, am skipping it for tonight! as usual, I’m a bit chagrined that my son’s presentation of this subscription is going to waste tonight! I could say I will attempt to adapt to all the shenanigans of the rebus, and whatever the tricks in this puzzle are called! but, let’s face it! I’m a 68 year old grumpy guy ,an that’s probably not a direction I’ll explore! keep up the work for all those other souls willing to put up with the shenanigans! 214-676-5059, jfpiwetz@gmail.com
dec.22…Can you PLEASE STOP the rebuses??!!!Puts me in a bad mood every time I see the the tip in the preamble! sorta thanks for that , by the way! if I ever get started on a puzzle and eventually realize som odd ( a rebus) is happening, I’d be furious! I’d, for sure, have to tell my son to cancel the subscription!!Yes, I dislike them that much! 214-676-5059, jfpiwetz@gmail.com

I’ a 68 year guy, sorta stuck I’m my ways! one of my ways is doing crosswords! a few years ago , my son, Cameron gave me a subscription to the NYT crossword.I’ve enjoyed, except when you get cutesy and clever with your clues and answers! so, STOPiT!!!As I’ve said before, thanks for letting me know in the preamble about the presence of the dreaded REBUS, SO I ca SkIPIT! of course, that wastes a small part of my son’s money, which I don’t LK.e!! Jfpiwetz1@gmail.com
