Not sure if this was harder than normal for a Monday or my brain isn't up to speed yet.
Either this was harder than a normal Monday or my brain is off today. I'm from the UK and don't know baseball but some of the other clues were also harder than they should have been.
A lot of obtuse answers with vague clues, not much fun when there is little opportunity to get started anywhere. Earlap is not a thing for example.
Got too convoluted with the clues, the split words is quite good in theory but these ones ended up barely being words quite often.
Total nonsense, zero fun at all.
I got the answer but I really don't understand the answer to 7up perhaps.
@Maria it doesn't at all. That is such a stretch. It looks like Tetris peices.
Pretty tough, I enjoyed it for the most part but it a bit of a slog towards the end.
I've never seen the Goddess of earth spelt like that
@Elisabeth yeah the formatting is way off and annoying, I can see it but it's not fun to look at.
I admire the effort and it was nicely out together but I do think it's a waste as most people will just figure out the intersection clues and solve the special bits that way and not really engage with the theme.
The theme was nice, but what was that upper left corner about? Some stretches there.
Definitely hard to start with but once things got going ended up coming together nicely.
@Dan I mean ASMR videos are huge online. I can't imagine too many people would be stumped by that clue.
@cameron you can but it shifts it to the side of the screen. Far from ideal. The content of the puzzle was actually really good but the formatting was annoying on the app.
@Merrick part of it is because all these apps track streak's and times which makes everyone feel like they need to complete a puzzle even if it's one that's a total chore. Part of that is on us as individuals but at the same time it would be better if the stats just recorded how many puzzles you'd solved rather than days in a row.

Certainly quite tricky but definitely doable.
I often struggle to spot themes or tricks in these but this one jumped out at me as soon as I got to the lower set of down clues.
@Mean Old Lady for a select few it might be of interest but to most people outside of the US this impenetrable nonsense and throw rebuses on top it's too much.
My brain wasn't prepared for this on a Wednesday. Clues were quite funny, but I wouldn't have bothered with the animation lol.
@Justin your not alone, much trickier than a normal Monday.
Thought this was going to be super tough but it was definitely one were things slot so nearly into place once you get a few going. 17 across never looked like a word to me until I was putting in the last couple of letters.
Basically broke, no way to know which of the rebus letters were the right ones.
Someone is going to have run 19across by me, no way that answer lines up with the clue.
Is 58 across a thing? Or just a convenient answer for a crossword
