Really enjoyed this one, but I still cannot, even with the explanation, understand the ON EARTH bit to IM OVER HERE. Anyone help?

HAIR METAL made me smile, and many of the clues were very satisfying to get. But TRUE LEAVES was a new one for me, so CUREL was never going to happen. As others have said, very cruel!

Thoroughly enjoyed save the BLIND BLEH situation on the left. A niche but if knowledge and dodgy spelling felt much more like Thursday territory. Great theme!

One of my least favourites in a while as just kept getting stuck. Glad others seemed to have enjoyed but this one just not for me. Don't think I would have got JACKIEROBINSON in a million years of trying!

Is there something wrong with the app? Finished the crossword this morning and got my time. Opened to do spelling bee and my crossword is now showing as incomplete. Have checked every letter against the answer key and all correct. Don't let me lose my streak NYT!!

NYT, because you moved this out of wordplay column I lost my streak I've been running all year. Had one letter wrong but couldn't find it. Honestly gutted 😞
