i don't usually do thursdays, i'm not personally a fan of puzzle crosswords, and this one didn't change my mind lol, but I feel the need to say I do appreciate the creativity and think it's important to experiment the way todays puzzle did!

feeling validated by all these comments agreeing it was weirdly hard but not in a satisfying way. i straight up had to look at the answer key to finish the SW corner and i've never done that before 😭 lol. like other comments pointed out -- too heavy on the proper nouns. i did enjoy the theme though!

this was weirdly hard for me, and i can't quite pin down why. i seemed to be on a totally different wavelength for almost every clue which left me with a LOT of empty squares and not much to build off, but it seems everyone else enjoyed the puzzle just fine, so it must just be me! a fine puzzle regardless though!

i really enjoyed this thursday puzzle, the themed clues were very fun and satisfying to solve!

incredible puzzle today! it really fell into that sweet spot for me of not too hard and not too easy, which is perfect for early in the week imo; clever little theme too! shoutout to my fave clues--5D and 52A

excellent puzzle today--incredibly clever clues that really made me crunch my brain, and clever, non-intrusive (lol) rebuses. took longer than my average but also had fewer lookups than usual.

LOVED today's puzzle, so many incredibly fun clues, 24D and 54A were my faves. also, as a lesbian, i appreciate the representation lol the clue made me laugh

excellent sunday puzzle today! not too easy but not impossible; the title really helped to figure out the theme, which I found to be straightforward and logical (always appreciated). fave clues are 60A, 121A, 78D!

i have to stop doing these first thing in the morning LOL. tough puzzle, i only filled 3-4 answers on my first pass--i really needed the prompts from the column to get going 😭 i was almost always a couple letters off from every single phrase answer, which got me really stuck (and frustrated!) a few times--still a satisfying finish with clever clues though!

american acronyms are the absolute bane of my existence as a canadian. kinda mad about 33A, 10D, 11D, and 30D lol, and idk about 22A. NW corner was rough. the themed clues were... something. i enjoyed the play on words but not sure how i feel about the circular hints here. it felt like a bit of a slog without any satisfaction for completing it. a fine puzzle, but maybe my standards are too high for sundays.

holy moly i found this to be quite difficult, 22D "form instruction" (my fave clue of the day!) tripped me up to the end making that left side difficult to complete. excellent challenge

fun puzzle! 32A was my fave clue, i do have some qualms with 22A though...

this one took me minute, i don't know if i'm mad that it was hard (it's sunday--what did i expect?) or mad at some of the clues (looking at you 30A, 103A, 119A) but i'm not feeling very satisfied for finishing it 😂

love the themed clues today! i also have been playing gin rummy for around 30 years and had never heard the term "meld" before and i'm wondering if we all learned by word of mouth--can't say i've ever actually read the rules 🤣

rebuses catch me so off guard when it's not thursday, i just get stuck in a loop wondering why i can't get any more answers to fit. 😭 i need to start reading the column first i guess. been doing this crossword daily for a little over a year now and i still skip rebuses--will i ever actually like them? 🤣
