Extremely frustrating for the app to not accept “line” in places of the dashes, given that there was not a clear clue to do so, and if you “cut” the word “line” out of each phrase it made just as much sense. Not to mention this puzzle following so quickly from the “unchecked” clue debacle from a couple weeks ago made it doubly as frustrating. Especially because this was a fairly straightforward forward solve otherwise, yet I spent an inordinate amount of time searching for that one letter I didn’t have right.

Would love to know if it was intentional that Lome is right next door to Benin (from yesterday’s puzzle).

Clever but a frustrating iOS experience. Think I may need to start doing Thursdays on the website. Even though I had all the correct rebuses in place, the puzzle was only deemed to be solved when the lower right rebus was empty, but the others were filled. At least the streak lives!

When the rebus is the same in each direction, I guess you only need one instance of it, on iOS at least? I had STAR/STAR and S/S, knowing it was “rest area” and “lost arts” but I did not get the solve until only entering “STAR”.
