@Doug The clue is correct. They are cuts from different ends of the short loin. A Porterhouse has a significantly larger tenderloin portion, at least 1.25 inches wide, than does a T-Bone.
This had me smiling, although the sayings for 9A and 57A didn't click for me until after solving the entire puzzle.
