A fun, breezy Wednesday. And my 1,000th puzzle solved!

Just one of those days where you almost break your streak because your typed ALTER instead of ALTAR.

Every time that song plays (as it did today), I think about that moment from Brooklyn 99. I miss Andre Brauer on a daily basis.

As a middle aged father of two, I approve of this puzzle. I never turn my nose up at a good play on words.

Fun puzzle! And on day 200 of my streak! 165 days to go to meet my goal of a full year.

It’s my birthday, too! Thanks for the fun solve, Rena!

Very puzzle and deeply appreciated all the Shakespeare references!

Woof! Today and yesterday’s puzzles had me breaking out the thesaurus left and right. One small quibble: REST ON? I know one definition of “surmount” is to stand or lie on, but I don’t SURMOUNT my bed.

CAN I GO? I don’t know. Can you?

ON BASE and AT BAT almost killed me today.

As an avid D&D player, any puzzle that incorporates dice is a winner for me.

Fun puzzle, though 9D threw me for a loop. I’ve never seen a private eye referred to as a TEC before.

At first I thought 17A was RECORD SHOP, but I guess those aren’t really a thing anymore. 😢

What an amazing debut! Looking forward to more puzzles from Bryan in the years to come! 31A was actually one of my faster solves. My kids love reading about animals, but one that never fails to gross them out is the STAR NOSED MOLE.

Perfect Friday puzzle. Challenging enough to make me sweat a little, but not so difficult that I was pulling my hair out by the end. And most importantly, of course, a lot of fun. I particularly liked 12D, 26D, and 46A. Though I will say, PARER still gives me PTSD from breaking my Wordle streak a couple of years ago.

One minor nit to pick: a comet is a ball of ice, not fire.
