Tried it last night and realized it was too tired. Looked at it this morning and thought god I’m an idiot. Then I pressed on and was pretty sure I had an aneurism. Then I finally made it to the down clues. Joy what oh. Then I started reading the down clues wrong. Constructor work good. Enjoyed I.

I see that this puzzle creator subscribes to the “kill them with proper nouns” school of puzzle making. Oh joy.

Extreme challenge. Fun factor was not quite zero, but pretty close. I'd just like to register my annoyance with the many obscure and misleading clues. Maybe someday I'll be good enough to solve a puzzle like this without looking things up. Thanks for reading my rant, I'm sure the constructor will take pleasure in knowing the pain that was inflicted.

Wow, that was seriously fun, thank you Spencer Leach! The Chocolate Retriever who ends up with a chocolate lab is one of the best clues I've seen in a long time. I'm still smiling over that one.

One of the best puzzles I’ve seen. So funny. So many misdirects. And the premise … just wow. Kudos. Kudos.

So perfect for a Thursday. Really great cluing, with seemingly every other answer requiring a twist of the old gray matter in a new direction. The theme took a minute to figure out, because I thought it meant to literally go "up" and that line of thinking sort of worked with the first answer, but not quite, and when I figured it out the AHA moment was wonderful. So fun and engaging. Kudos and thank you to the constructor.

What a blast! That's the kind of Sunday that I can get behind, fast and funny, enjoyable and a theme that actually helps you solve the puzzle. Plus I love anagrams. AWESOME.

Wow, so many hard to spell proper nouns all crossing each other and very random quoted clues that could be literally anything. I liked the theme but what a total slog. Ugh.

That was a real joy. It's always fun when the Sunday puzzle is approachable enough to slowly divulge the "twist", and allow the solver to finish it up without a lot of obscure nonsense. A great Sunday solve. Congrats to the author!

There were a surprising number of clues which made me slow down and bend my brain to come up with some answer. Well done puzzle.

Wow, I'm on the same wavelength as Karen Steinberg. My fastest Friday ever and no lookups. Plus it was fun and I'm going to be going around all day saying J'accuse!!! Who could ask for anything more? ;)

Argh. I’ll just leave it at that.

Trivial pursuit: crossword edition.

Many laughs were had, thanks for a great Monday puzzle!

Mmmm , that was wonderful. That’s the kind of Thursday I can get behind. Took a while, but that ah-ha moment was a total rush. Finished without a single lookup. Feeling quite happy.

wow that was hard

This is one if the coolest puzzles I’ve seen! Very nice. It ain’t easy being green huh? Also, jungle debut! Who knew !

Wonderful and amazing creation. Kudos. That was a joy to solve.

Some day when I’m in a nave watching a Red Sox replay and singing a hymn will think of this constructor ….

Delicious and fun. I loved this puzzle for its variety and the way it let me chip away at the full fill. Every pass I could get at least one more across or down. Fun and satisfying is super rare for a Saturday.

Pix. Eek. Overall, A struggle. But mostly fun.

A breezy Thursday! Fun! Yes! It was like Bang bang bang.

That was super fun. Thanks to the constructor and editors.

This unapproachable puzzle was the worst part of my Saturday.

Wonderful and fun puzzle with lots of great clues to engage the players on a Sunday. Tip of the hat to the constructor !

Wow that was awesome. Fun and interesting plus a bit above average difficulty for a Tuesday I thought. Just a really great puzzle kudos.

it was fun, but deciphering non-sense when you have an error at the end is a slog.

After a pretty difficult week,it was nice to have a breezy Saturday (of all things). Maybe a personal best. Wavelengths equal and all that. Fun puzzle with a lot of ups!

That was so fun. At first glance the layout gave me a lump in my throat but then I slowly realized I was getting lots of fills and the layout became an ally instead of an enemy. In the end it was near a personal best for a Saturday. That was really enjoyable

Increíble puzzle ! Kudos to the constructor.

Yay. Fun and funny. Loved it.

I quit the wrong day to quit sniffing glue.

Wow, this was amazing. Bravo. Encore.

I loved this puzzle so much. It felt like it had something for everyone. Kudos.

Fun! Thank you !

I feel weird that I like this one a lot and thought it was fair. Have I cross(word)ed to the other side ?

The perfect Monday. Fun and relaxing, missed my best time by 3 seconds. Thanks to the crew for this one.

Okay, I have to admit that was a lot of fun even though it had a ton of proper names and random factoids, there was enough "help" in nearby clues to make it solvable. Well built puzzle.

There is some bug on the website that prevents today's puzzle from showing up after the new puzzle comes out. In other words, if I try to find Monday's puzzle after 7pm pacific time, it's almost impossible to find it. I have to somehow find the monthly calendar then find Monday.

Very fun puzzle, it helped that I use the NATO alphabet for my job.

It's always the crossing of names that gets me. Solved in 29 minutes, and then 11 minutes of looking for McGuire/Alia. Fun puzzle, really enjoyed it and the theme was solvable, which was helpful. When the themes are so obscure that you can't get a foothold it doesn't bring much joy.

Tough but fair ! Thanks Sam!

Best smack talk rap, throwing down. Nice!!

It needed more names throughout … /s brought on by frustration.

The "solve a Friday on easy mode" feature should really moved to Saturdays.

That’s an amazing construction. Fun and interesting.

Blushing at that puzzle … wooo :) On another note … Friday used to drive me insane as a new solver. Now it’s Saturday that drives me up the wall. I guess we get better over time. But now I wish there was an easy mode for Saturday instead of Friday. Oh well.
