This was my first Wednesday solve without any hints! I was able to figure out it was a rebus puzzle based on 29D. Crosswords are a new skill for me so this was a big deal in my little world :)

I really liked this one and got to a 7-day streak! Small potatoes to most but since I just started learning how to solve crosswords this year (I’ve even have gotten to a 12-day streak at one point, albeit with some lookups). Had always felt I *should* like crosswords as a former English grad student but it did not come naturally. Glad to know I can still learn new skills as I approach 50. When I finish each puzzle I always race to the comments to see what you all have to say. Whenever I see a post from Grand Marais I’m especially pleased. Just wanted to say I’m really enjoying this newfound online community.

I really enjoyed this! So funny. It was hard but for me but not miserable. 10/10.

Started off strong but the SE corner stumped me. And I could not, for the life of me, figure out beso (the shame!). I had to consult Deb’s column to finish. Never heard of “tec” before but based on your comments, I should get used to it.

I thought I’d solved in record time for me, and then spent 5 more minutes figuring out the MEAT vs MEET issue. Glad to know I wasn’t alone in my befuddlement.

I was happy to see my favorite artist featured! I took issue with some of the clues, and even though I got the theme early on, I couldn’t finish without help. Oh well.

Like everyone else, I loved this puzzle! Especially happy to see the Bel Canto reference.

Ooof, this one gave me a headache. Mostly because I was SO sure 15A was Necessary Evils. I needed lots of help on today.
