@Mango Ls have corners. Corners are like elbows. It took me an hour. I liked it because the stomach knots it gave me remind me of the fun part of academic tests without the stress. Placebo stress I suppose I could call it.
There is a fine line between free association and free basing. That said, “If I had more time I would have written a shorter letter.”
@Petrol Bread : sandwich Tortilla : taco
First I questioned my sanity. Then I thought why have a life when I can’t just solve the Wednesday puzzle? No problem. This puzzle proves either I’m sane or insane not sure which. I’m going back to bed wake me up when the Thursday puzzle drops.
@Beth I went into the NYT app and searched for Deb Amlen then sorted my date.
I could have solved this puzzle, but I gave up methamphetamines. (Actually, I think this frequently. I just had to type it once.)

I don’t know if this was by design or not with regard to the Alfredo clue. I was searching my brain for that sauce that requires Parmesan. (I’ve been told it’s pronounced “parm-ee-sian” in an otherwise favorable parallel universe, I digress.) I knew at the time it wouldn’t fit, but you know the one with the pine nuts? I think it starts with a P. What is it, again? That’s right PESTO!
