Sitting next to our dog and saying "Wok! Walk! EnTREATies!" made us suspicious that he played a role in creating this puzzle...

Saguaro National Park is truly a gem. Even if I am a little biased

My first gold star on a Saturday. Perhaps the SPAWNPOINT of a long streak?

Decided to take a quick dissertation writing break (statistics) to do this puzzle, and now I'm interpreting today's math theme as a sign from the universe to stop procrastinating with crossword puzzles. (or maybe a sign to do a few more from the archive?)

Really enjoyable puzzle! Not at all related, but had Beethoven Sonata No. 22 playing in the background this AM, and got the NYT victory music right as the coda was wrapping up. Apparently both in F Major, as it was the most bizarre yet joyful duet! Happy Thursday all.

As someone who pretty regularly listens to Joplin while solving these puzzles…. Bravo!

The classical music nerd in me lit up when I saw FUGUE. Great puzzle! FWIW, my personal favorite will always be the conclusion to Beethoven op. 110.

I loved this puzzle. Not having the full benefit of the crossings to help out with many of the clues broke my brain in the best possible way. THIS is why I do these puzzles!

I had the chance to listen to that famous clarinet glissando this year in honor of it's 100th anniversary. A concert I'll remember for the rest of my life!

Calling my favorite game a "onetime" fad hurts

Late-night brain saw III as Ill (that's i-l-l) for the longest time. Very enjoyable Tuesday!

Happy to see lots of love for Scott Joplin in the comments, my favorite composer. I grew up listening to my grandma playing ragtime, and one of the first books she ever bought me was a compilation of Scott Joplin rags for beginners. Mr. Joplin sure has contributed a lot of joy in my life!
