I think this is my favorite puzzle of the year so far! So clever — this is one of those that confirm I could never create a good crossword puzzle because HOW do you come up with this???!??? Sorry to hear about the technical difficulties some were having :( definitely very frustrating & I always feel horrible for the constructor!
Did this Thursday puzzle on a Wednesday night & couldn’t figure out why WEDNESDAYPUZZLE was the only clue answer that was correct 🤦🏻♀️
@Jen P. This comment is such loser behavior. Do the world a favor and get a life!!!!
One of those puzzles where I’m on the same wavelength as the constructor and it flies by too quickly… rare, but satisfying. Thanks for a fun Friday grid!
Here to say that, despite the comments so far, I actually thought this was one of the easiest Fridays in recent weeks and I was seconds off from my best time. This is why I think we should pay less attention to the complaints in this forum about declining difficulty because there will always be different strokes for different folks… what is easy & enjoyable for you may not be (&& probably won’t be) easy & enjoyable for me. Great debut, Andrew!
Ginny, I work in tax and I would have LOVED the GAAP clue :’) great puzzle!
This is the Wednesday-ist Wednesday to ever Wednesday - perfect midweek puzzle!
Not a great puzzle for a 25 year old that doesn't own a television LOL
Enjoyed this one, but not enough gimmick for a Thursday in my opinion :P
Loved this one! Congrats on a great debut
They should have switched yesterday’s puzzle with today’s… this is a Monday and that was a Tuesday!
I loved this one! Though this was my first Sam Ezersky puzzle with no lookups, so I'm biased...
Making CHARCUTERIE fit in the CHEESEBOARD spot was just cruel.... :P
Wow I’m so surprised to see so many negative comments! I really loved this one
Wow! Super clever, and that was before I noticed the shaded boxes were types of teas :)
Fastest Thursday ever so I’m biased when I say I liked this one :P
A perfect Thursday!!!! Loved it :)
@John Deal it does! Click the i logo in the upper right corner of the puzzle & follow the link that pops up :)
Loved this one - a perfect Wednesday!
@Abigail I agree! I love a clever rebus, but I do think that some of the fun of *any puzzle* is taken out of it when there's no revealer :( I felt that way about yesterday's puzzle too. Regardless, I always hate to dogpile on a hate train against constructors, this one just wasn't for me. To Jon and Carl, super cool that you worked together as father and son to make this and got published! I hope to see more of your work soon :)
So clever, what a good Thursday puzzle!
What a cleverly constructed puzzle! I loved this one - I'm always a fan of Thursdays with minimal/no rebus action. Thanks for the fun puzzle, Damon. Hope to see more from you!
@Dave Munger YES, it keeps happening to me. Then it will randomly restore itself...
@Emma apologies, misread your constructor note — I will have to look for your older puzzle(s) :)
@Thad sub 10 minutes is very impressive :)
@Tom S. Tom, I think you’re mixing up two clues. The “Mind the G.A.A.P” clue would have been for the answer CPAS!
Uhhhhh there is no VERBAL section of the SAT
@Shaun thanks for a great puzzle!
@Andrzej we get it, you’re from Poland!
