Best theme in recent memory.

I'm an American who loved the theme, but SABOTS/BOSCS and SHILO/OLETA are cursed squares, and the constructors and editors knew it but couldn't think of anything better.

If you brass tacks it, there technically is no Oscars category for Best Actress. It’s just “Actress in a Leading Role.” In fact only one category actually contains the word best—“Best Picture.”

Would love to know the rationale behind the “swimwear line” clue replacement. “Kind of line at the beach” felt so clunky when solving, because what could that even be? A line for food? I jumped it immediately and went for the crossings, whereas the original would have gotten me thinking.

Best early week theme in a long time.

Pretty late in the day for my daily solve. I was totally lost thinking this was a Tuesday, when it was very early posted ballsy Wednesday already pushing Thursday.
