The puzzle was good, and fun to solve, but my reason for commenting is to add my condolences, Deb, on your father's passing.

I solved next to Sam Donaldson at the ACPT once, some years ago, and agree that he is a really nice guy.

For Ken's mother - I used to find Mondays too easy also, and then I read that Rex Parker did them Downs Only, and now I look forward to doing them that way.

TIL that LEMMA has a meaning in linguistics. I'm a math person,so the puzzle's use was familiar to me.

@Deb - you are not "an alumni", unless the language has changed. That's a plural. But I certainly echo others in wishing you well in retirement.
