(Dumb?) Question for Deb Amlen: Deb, if every time you use the acronym T. I. L. you then follow it with (Today I learned) why don't you just skip the T. I. L? Either that or skip the explanation part and just assume we either remember it, or if a noob, that we will figure it out. :) Despite my nit picking, I do love your Wordplay columns!

Best Thursday puzzle in quite a while, not really hard, but did provide a bit of a challenge...more like the Thursday's I used to look forward to. I hope this is a sign of more good things to come!

Deb... I'm having a consecutive Xword streak issue, whereby my streak was incorrectly terminated at 2009 days by a NYT glitch...I've tried every email address anyone recommended to get this corrected, alas with no success. I even called the NYT customer service 2 or 3 times; they tried unsuccessfully to get it corrected. You are my last hope. Can you provide me with a contact for someone who can really help me? I know it sounds dumb, especially because I never mention my streak to anyone, but it is important to OCD me...thanks Deb, for any recommendation you may have for me!!!

I need help...not with solving the puzzles though. Up until yesterday I had a 2,206 day consecutive solving streak going. However yesterday, despite my solving the (Friday) puzzle shortly after it came out; my streak was stopped. After solving the Sat. puzzle today, it now says my streak is 1 day, though it admits that I have a 316 day streak of completed Saturday puzzles. Does anyone know who I can contact to get my daily streak reestablished? I know it might sound dumb, and it's not something I ever mention to anyone, but it's still meaningful to me. Thanks for any help you can offer!
