For 9A, I had all the right letters in the right boxes, because the corresponding down words were quite straightforward to me. But it wasn't making sense to me because I was thinking the slogan being referred to was "Don't Tread on Me." I spent a long time trying to figure out how to read "tread on me" somehow into those letters. Great puzzle, I managed to finish it but it took a while!
