Found this easy except for AHNOLD. Probably wouldn’t have gotten there without the column only because of that one answer.
Guess I’m an outlier on this one because I found it really difficult. Took me way over my average Saturday time, and needed lots of help from the column.
I found this to be easy for a Friday. Took me nearly ten minutes less than yesterday's (which I found rather difficult for a Thursday). No complaints from me as I prefer the type of solving where I can suss words out rather than having to look up references I have no clue about.
New personal best Tuesday at 5:41. Been an easy start to the week.
Another breezy puzzle. So far this week I fell two seconds shy of my best on Monday, and set new bests yesterday and today.
I didn't enjoy this one; too many words and references I'm unfamiliar with. Took 6 minutes over my Thursday average and that was with some help.
I know Saturday is supposed to be hard, but I didn’t enjoy this. Too many trivia lookups required for me.
Guess I'm in the minority here. It's a clever puzzle and I know Thursday should be challenging but this felt like a slog to me. I solved the reveal entry and still didn't get the theme, and too many other clues I just had no idea on.
Came in two seconds shy of my Tuesday best because I had SLAY instead of SLAP.
This was my new fastest Thursday, but I had to read the article after to understand the theme.
4:01 today. Just two seconds slower than my fastest Monday.
My new Thursday best at 10:12, after what had been a couple harder than usual puzzles for Monday through Wednesday.
Had to look up a few references, but otherwise a pretty breezy Thursday. Ended up one minute shy of my best.
Came in 31 seconds shy of my Tuesday best on this one. Found it to be easier than Monday's puzzle this week.
New Sunday best for me at 17:15.
I found this one much easier than yesterday, though I lucked into 30D and 45D. Never heard of that term or rapper, respectively.
Fun puzzle. Wouldn’t say it was easy, but I was able to complete without using any hints or looking anything up.
@Molly in Wake Forest Yes, I love prog rock. I don't know where the genesis was for me, but it's a rush to listen to.
@Mean Old Lady King and queens as in beds
Thought this might've been my best Wednesday at 6:57, but was actually 31 seconds shy. I did lose a few seconds having to enter the letters for the break dancer squares after completing everything else.
This was a brutal slog for me. I tried to spend more time on it before turning to the column, so it ended up taking over 32 minutes. My Friday average is under 24.
