Gen-X Curmudgeon

My most-dreaded crossword word: REBUS. My second most-dreaded crossword word: PIXAR. And now I’m the type of puzzle-fanatic who comments on the NYT Crossword “solving tips” article. What have I become?!

I loved this crossword puzzle! I appreciated the clear (and amusing) pattern in the long answers. I solved it twenty minutes more quickly than usual Sundays, which made it really pleasant. On most Sundays, the long answers seem unnecessarily tortuous. So frustrating! And no clues about Katy Perry or other recent pop-culture figures. It was right up my alley. Thank you! Kudos!
