I enjoyed this puzzle. I found it both clever and fun.
I loved this puzzle. I found it clever, and I welcomed the rainbow in this challenging time.
@Caitie "lulu" and "oner" are both slang words for something unique, outstanding, or extraordinary.
This is an excellent puzzle from a nice husband. I look forward to tomorrow's puzzle.
He had me at Andre Braugher and Will Shortz. Nice memories.
Taran, you seem like a bright and well-balanced person. Enjoy your time in San Diego. It's a beautiful city.
I'm commenting late in the day, but I want to confess. I have never felt so defeated by a crossword puzzle as I did with this. Even after researching answers to fill in where needed and finally completing the grid, I see the trick but don't think I would have without reading the column. The constructor's explanation only added to my confusion. I am a seasoned solver, and I approach each puzzle with hope and resilience. That didn't help this time. Tomorrow is a new day with a new chance to prevail.
@HeathieJ I'm so sorry for your loss.
@slightlycrazy I have many memories of camping and hiking in Humboldt Redwoods State Park with my dear husband. This is a beautiful region with a lovely river.
Garrett seems very resilient. Thank you for sharing your puzzle, and your experience, with us.
@Thomas the letter "R" in the word red makes bug into burg.
@artlife I love the politeness of your comment.
@michael mccann Kipling wrote a poem with that title. <a href="https://www.kiplingsociety.co.uk/poem/poems_fuzzywuzzy.htm" target="_blank">https://www.kiplingsociety.co.uk/poem/poems_fuzzywuzzy.htm</a>
This is exactly what I planned to post. Perfect!
@Pax Ahimsa Gethen, "but our country is known for far sillier things...". Yes indeed.
