@Lewis I look forward to your comments every day, Lewis. Always kind and insightful, and they often point out something I hadn't seen before.

Excellent puzzle, Kevin! My favorite was TURTLESHELL. Made me laugh out loud.

@MExpat Haha, in my estimation, if the only alternative to Stella or Sam were PBR, the answer would be "vin."

We just got "brushed" (unsolicited package from Amazon) with PRESSONNAILS yesterday, now today's clever clue. Never seen a pair before. Baader-Meinhof comes to mind.

I loved the puzzle, and the constructor notes were the pièce de résistance.

Loved this puzzle! Had SOCKHOP instead of SODASHOP, but it didn't fit, so I knew it contained a rebus element right away. Led me to realize the rebus was above the circle. From the title my original guess on the revealer was "down the chimney." I was off to the races with ARNOLD PALMER, my favorite NA beverage (try adding a little Bourbon for a great cocktail). Loved Art Heist, needed the circles, love David Kwong. Thank you for a fun Sunday.

@Helen Wright Hi Helen, I appreciate your perspective and interesting questions. As for Hayride, you travel through the haunted sites sitting on hay bales in a wagon pulled by a tractor or horse.

@kilaueabart Haha! Great response. Are you in the "Two yellow, three blue (Weds, Thurs, Sun)" Club, too? Very clever puzzle today.

@dutchiris Good morning! Lay out the cover inside out, buttons at the bottom, on the bed, then lay the duvet out flat on top. Tie the strings, if available, then roll the duvet with the top half of the cover all the way to the top. Grab the corners from the inside at the top, flip and shake out. Voila!

@dutchiris Our Ginsuknife from the 80s is still sitting in the block today. We still tell the story of the ads to the younger generation. "Cuts through a tin can!" We have done it. Great clue.

@BJ See the explanation above by Steve L. It took me a minute for the aha moment when it soved through crosses.

@Nancy J. Oh, my, I did the same, but then went on to think, "two pig clues? Even odder." Thanks for the belly laugh this morning. Fabulous debut puzzle!

Loved the puzzle! Can someone tell me how to search the archive for other puzzles by this creator? Deb referred to one, but how do I find his others? Thanks.

Asiatic garden beetles. They are a night feeder. Dig into the soil and you will find small, brown beetles. They will eat your peppers, basil and carrots right down to the stems. Light traps work, but they are very hard to eradicate. Call your local cooperative extension service for advice.
