@Chris I think it's because a wrist is the space where a wristwatch goes. I didn't figure that out until about 40 minutes after I'd finished the puzzle. 😄
@Andrzej Candyland is a child's board game first published in 1949. Most of us in the US remember playing it as a small child. Hope you feel better soon!
I realky enjoyed Myq Kaplan's column today, and yesterday's was very good, too. So far he's my favorite of the Wordplay guest columnists. 👍
@Michael Weiland https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dLECCmKnrys Gary Gulman on how the states got their abbreviations. This clip is from when he did this comedy routine on Conan. Highly recommended!! 🤣🤣
@WaTaAng This is the 2nd time this year that Ott has been used -- the last time was February 11, 2024. You can find the whole list at xwordinfo.com 😃
@Weak FYI, constructor notes are included at xwordinfo.com Please be kind, emus.
Two outstanding debut puzzles back to back! This is shaping up to be a great week. I have fond childhood memories of playing with the Magic 8 ball that my stepdad kept in his home office. ❤️
@Jacqui J I'm binge watching Psych right now. 😂 Just started season 5. 🍍 I watched the show when it first came out, but it feels almost new to me now, over a decade later.
@Leontion I had the same experience as you. Weird to have to resort to lookups for a mini puzzle!
@Lisa G I've had the same problem for several months with the bonus puzzle not showing up in either app nor on the website. I found that if I Google "nyt monthly bonus crossword", it gives me a link to the archives with the bonus puzzle section already selected. Then I can click on any recent month and complete the bonus puzzle on the website. It's weird that I can't access that section myself otherwise, but as long as I can do the puzzles, I don't care how it happened. 😄
