@sunny617 they’re still called Likes - as seen e.g. in the activity settings screen
@Rich in Atlanta that reminds me of British style cryptic clueing - RECKLESS, LUNATIC etc hinting that the rest of the letters are a scrambled anagram. Even NUTS could imply the same for the top one.
Re the column’s explainer for 26a: I read IDS as the Freudian concept of self, not the photo found on an ID. I had EGO first before realising I needed a plural. Fun one, breezy clueing and cute puzzle within the puzzle. Make Thursdays tricksy again!
@Amy do you sing the spelling to the tune of Old Macdonald like I did? 😅
May I highly recommend a light background reading of the global HOKEY c(p)OKEY name and lyric variants https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hokey_Pokey#Dance_across_the_world - I needed to look up after this square stumped me! Assumed CLEA was some unknown Star Wars jargon.
Running a crossword with Z I O N x F A I R G A M E in the current climate feels in extremely poor taste, to say the least.
