I don't know what's wrong with me but I couldn't solve this one even with the hints from the wordplay column. Been a long time since I've gotten snagged on a Tuesday.

This one was really rewarding. I tend to get impatient after the 20 minute mark and start making excuses and cheat, but today I stuck it out and am glad that I did. Thanks!

I solved 58A before any of the other themed clues and tried really hard to cram that into rebuses, to no avail. Being able to solve a Thursday without outside help is a big personal victory for me, so thanks, loved this puzzle!

Really really enjoyed this one! Had trouble with the West but I'm going to be smiling all day.

Fun! The Fantasy Island reference made me smile. I imagine it's pretty obscure for solvers under 40. Two phonetic spellings in the same puzzle makes me twitch just a little, but I'll get over it.

Are you sure Ada Twist is a debut? I feel like the only way I knew that answer was that I've seen it before in a NYT crossword.

I liked this one. I was having some trouble until I realized today was Thursday and that everything didn't necessarily need to make sense at first.

Is there a word for clues that end with comma-qualifier? For example: , say , in a way , maybe , of sorts Those put me in a bad mood, but reading all the positive comments here makes me think that I'm just not experienced enough to appreciate it. I still don't think "speed gun" and "ego surf" are actual things. :P

Felt that it perfectly appropriate for a Wednesday, but I did have to look up 20A to finally finish the center-North. I don't always actually read the Wordplay column - I typically just go to the comments for vindication :D - but glad I did today. Feels like I got to take part in something kinda cool. Thanks!

Got stuck in the sw corner. Completely forgot about the circled letters, but I don't think that would have helped me anyways as I had an 'S' in the first one.

Sorry to be pedantic, but weightlifting is a very specific sport, and not the same as lifting weights.
