Merlin

Didn’t understand the theme until I read the Wordplay column, but it is a clever theme. I got hung up by the savor sapor thing but the clue seems in line with general crossword puzzle shiftiness. Learned the word cavil. This wasn’t the easiest puzzle for me, but I think it was a good one and the puzzle makers should be proud of their result. Don’t understand all the anger. It’s a crossword puzzle!

Pleasant puzzle with some nice clues, but more of a Tuesday or Wednesday level. I look forward to the Friday puzzle to wake up my brain, but this puzzle didn’t quite do it.

Small irritant-zinc is a mineral, not a vitamin, so strictly speaking wouldn’t it be in a vitamin/mineral supplement, not a plain multivitamin? Otherwise enjoyable puzzle.

Loved this puzzle. Very clever twist. Just right for a Thursday!
