So many complaints, and yet no one has spelled out for me what is crazy, sexy or cool about an adjutant. Or adjoint. Or a DJ? Maybe I need to adjust my vocabulary. Adjourning for today.

@Andrzej Your post reminds me of an article a year or so ago about the intricacies of international English as it intersects with crosswords. <a href="https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/12/25/can-crosswords-be-more-inclusive" target="_blank">https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/12/25/can-crosswords-be-more-inclusive</a> Then there is the crossword dialect itself - frequently featuring Oreo cookies, the musician Brian Eno, and a deodorant brand I've never heard of. (Or "of which I've never heard," if we don't want no grammatical errors.)
