Oh, wow!! Thank you, Jeremy, from the bottom of my little GenX heart…..watching the reruns every Saturday at noon, acting out the plots with my brother….it was fun, but also civic training for ‘What is possible if we respect one another?’ TX certainly needs a little compassion, [also to celebrate its] cultural diversity, and sure! scientific curiosity!! Just, thank you. Roddenberry was such a dreamer: your creative homage beat back the cynicism and despair I’d acried amid a week of nasty news headlines. Bravo!!
Well done, sir! What a debut! Can anyone shed light on ‘musical lead-in to beat?’ I solved by crossings but still don’t ’get it.’ Happy Friday to all.
@Josh I know the feeling! May I recommend James Herriot’s memoirs of Yorkshire, 1940s—also a PBS series. Very gentle and some humor, gorgeous countryside. That’s where this horsemad girl, too poor to own a horse, learned a LOT about animal husbandry and the character of rural farm life. We solve as a family often, so the sports stuff I’m still (happily) ignorant of—it’s fun to have specialities! Happy solving and Happy Spring.
@jennie Take heart! Down: Evangelicals are subset of religion in which the pope participates—that’s the upper left quadrant. Maybe you have to be born (first time) in the South to hear an earnest “are you born again?” in actual conversation…..Swaps places with (lower right quadrant) angry customer demanding to see someone in authority. Across: not the patent or any reward, but the original idea, fondly birthed and nurtured…. Which swaps with a role assigned in drama. Much luck! I had to go get coffee 🤣 it’s so challenging.
@M where do I get an adblocker, or iOS?
@nick I wonder if it’s regional; down South we say snarfing for something humerous, fun, and human. Scarfing down (and I agree that ‘down’ is more common there) is a shade more brutal, or desperate. I’d describe an animal as scarfing down a meal, but I’d hand a toddler a cracker and say “Snarf down this cheez-it, so we can get in the car and be on the way!” Haste but not desperation.
