What I want to know is did the puzzle master have insider info on the new Cowboy Carter album? I was solving the puzzle while listening to the new album, and lo and behold, there’s the answer to “bucks at the bar” right in the lyrics! Something in the stars definitely aligned today!

Boy did I feel dumb! I usually wait to read the column until after I solve the puzzle on my phone. I solved today’s puzzle faster than my average too, but was still so confused about the theme. I was able to solve once I realized the answers were in “X and Y” format - sussed out where the “and” was in the clues then filled in the rest by to solving other clues. After I read about the errata (Wow! Did not know refreshing puzzles was a feature!) it still took me a hot minute to get the theme. Enjoyed the puzzle, truly a unique theme. A fun escape from an already long January!
