There should be a word for the precise moment that you figure out that you are enjoying something while you already are enjoying it. Excellent design decisions on this crossword. Well done!
A merciful Monday crossword, providing some extra attentive coddling, for short.
Tough one for me today because of all the name clues: ARIANA ORA JODIE LOESSER LEN LEWIS AIDA SNERD HAILE KARO PISTOLPETE
ALIENORAT sounded so much cooler, but maybe I need to go outside and touch some grass.
rolling through this until I hit SE corner - yeouch!
Disappointed that POTBISCUITS are not a thing. They sound like a wholesome business concept with an added benefit of not rotting your teeth every time that you the munchies... Imagine drizzling gravy on some warm, fluffy pockets of mood enhancing paradise.
An uncomfortable one for me. After I threw BATARANGS in there as a hail mary, I was ALLSMILES. But my self-satisfied smirk died with LURID as sensational. QUIETQUITTING was a nice halfway find. But, at almost 50, I am glad to say that I don't find teenagers SAUCY, unless properly cooked, perhaps. Still winded from my previous attempts to crack the NW corner, I finally choked on FLUTESOLO as my last clue.
I ate this puzzle like it was made of cheese! Very satisfying!
Winky, Slinky, Stinky, Pinky, Rinky (dink) ... sounds like a date gone bad.
This tickled me in all the right places. Especially the positioning of the July Birthday and Shortest of 12 clues. Very witty.
@Phil just run it through a warm room and it's crossword-edible.
The circled clues made this pretty easy. Enjoyable solve.
@Mooße Octopi was mistakenly coined as a Latinized plural for Octopus; however, the word's origin is from the Greek word "ocktopus", not Latin.
In an alternate universe, 41A begins with a C and is 5 letters.
@Lady Morgan Kelly Diana. Sadly, not without violating the terms. But you can find it by looking up etymology of the Earl title.
@Laura D Check out the etymology for Earl on Wikipedia.
@Bob T. Me too! The theme for this crossword was both apt and enjoyable. The wall-to-wall clues were very satisfying.
Unless you suffer from Selenophobia, I don't get how MOONY is crushing. Anyone?
@Jacob That also had me confused - I had to look it up afterward.
A witty, cheeky, bubbly one. Loved it.
