@Leah Lye is chemically basic, in that it has a pH greater than 7.
Great puzzle overall! I do have beef with the NW corner though…I had “tics” for 1A and “tacs” for 1D. Having never heard of “Macs” for British raincoats, tacs seemed just as plausible and the “t” worked as an answer for 1A as well. Oh well. Frustrating that I couldn’t find that mistake in poring over the finished puzzle, but so it goes.
Great puzzle and it was going so well for me…until I couldn’t find the error. Spelling Nostradamus “NostradamAs” was a fluke.
@Dave Munger I would have surpassed my record if it wasn’t for my fat thumbs! If only Ken had changed his name to “Kem.”
