Thank you Dan! Enjoyed the puzzle but don't blame me if I keep thinking tomorrow is Friday.
I rarely complain and usually chalk up a failure to my own ignorance but I couldn't finish this without the reveal thanks to the ridiculous clue for AREAS.
Fun puzzle and an impressive debut. Congratulations!
As Deb inferred - thankfully the cluing was tempered so I could grok the wormhole concept. Fun puzzle and enjoyable gimmick. And no sandworms.
Fun puzzle but I had to go 4 or 5 times unto the breach to get the southwest corner.
Well shoot! Like the Fonz, I can only say 'Ayyyy'!
Fun puzzle. It took me a couple of looks to understand ENISLE. At first I wondered if it was a reddish color before I got it the fact that it meant actively marooned. I was surprised I made it almost all the way through before running into that section.
Whew! Tough Tuesday puzzle! But not complaining.
Had no idea what the circles meant... Maybe next time I'll enjoy a puzzle with that feature but this one was just frustrating when my cross fills didn't make any sense.
Tough puzzle (for me) but very enjoyable and educational. Even though it kind of killed my Friday average. :p Great job!
Quite difficult but quite informative.
@Always learning It is but it's also a Hawaiian island.

@Mark Carlson Oh I got if after reading Deb's explanation. I just had never run into the tricky circle thing before. It was pretty clever. Obviously more clever than I. :) Thanks for the response.
@Steven M. I had issues with that too and I still haven't figured out what DON has to do with an Oxford figure. Go figure. Any help? Is this an British thing? Or a literary reference?
