I got tripped up by having bees instead of beds for a while but I was so proud of myself for figuring out the trick. I feel like I was staring at this for a while but then when I got it everything fell into place. Super satisfying solve.

I’ve seen some saltiness over TOTOROin the comments but honestly for anyone under thirty that clue was a huge gimme. Despite that, however I *did* feel like I was being held hostage by this puzzle. I don’t have the mental computing power to keep track of the letters outside of the puzzle (I use the app) so I was just flying blind leaving letters off. That being said, I was pretty proud to finish this one! And the animation at the end was fun. But um…maybe not another one like this for a while please!

I solved that in 7 minutes which is almost 20 minutes faster than my usual Friday time…almost finished it with the across clues alone. Must’ve been a lucky day for my knowledge base! Sad though because I love to suffer through a Friday.
