My hangup is that "b" and "n" are not really words. Bit I can't really think of a better way to clue it.

Like with a lot of recent puzzles it was a clever construction held back by sub par cluing. I hope editing starts to improve.

Nice easier than usual Tuesday to balance out the harder than usual Monday. I guess it all averages out pleasantly in the end.

Too many crossed esoteric nouns for a Tuesday.

Not a bad puzzle and not too hard for a Wednesday but it always feels a little wrong having rebus answers outside of Thursday (and very occasionally Sunday)

Just wanted to stop in to say that I feel like the editing has gotten a lot better and after a decent run of issues I haven't had any for several days now.

It wasn't hard to figure out but I didn't find the title very helpful.

Neat puzzle overall but NW was brutal for a Tuesday (PERSEIDES, AKON and NOSEEUM all lost on me)

The inner square was a bit tough but reasonably sussable. Good change of pace.

The theme puzzle was cool but crossing VOCE and VSOP not so much.

Not a difficult solve but odd that there's no clueing for the wordplay.

I wonder how popular books on CD ever were. A standard audio CD can only hold 80 minutes max and dual sided CDs aren't a thing (unlike DVD the substrate is too thick). Casettes could at least hold 90 minutes on each side, so 180 minutes total.
