At 430 this morning I was totally lost. Came back to it just after 11, figured out 2 down and the revealer and I was off. Finished 6+ minutes faster than my usual Thursday puzzle. Very creative idea.
@SP, In the UK and other parts of the world a “kit” frequently refers to a uniform or outfit. For example, “I really like Tottenham’s new kit” would refer to the football teams new uniforms.
@Your Fired Working on it on Saturday night after half a bottle of Rioja is tough also. Definitely a “me” problem. Made much more sense this morning,
@Sebastian After CELLRECEPTION I went with BOTSOCIAL and TIC which really messed me up and were my last parts of the solve.
@Jack McCullough EEO and EOE always get me in puzzles. I seem to always pick the wrong one first.
@Ed fortunately I live near the Raritan river in NJ and cross it regularly. It only took one or two crossings today to narrow it down.
I’m glad I had SCISSORS before I got TOENAIL or I’d have been stuck trying to fit CLIPPERS into the Downs. When I started I didn’t think I’d finish. I think DAB and Y’ALL were the only ones I got on my first pass of the Across clues, but then I got going and it flowed well.
@Logan Me too. Some words drive me crazy.
