@_chs_ I totally agree! I used to do the newspaper version every day in my younger days. I came back to it digitally on my iPad. The clues have only changed slightly but the themes have become so creative! Today, l was at a loss, until l finally got the whole SE corner! After LOCKET! fell into place, l went back to each theme clue and found them absolutely brilliant! Stick with it, my friends!

@Stefan Welcome to my world! I did exactly the same thing! Project vs PROject. I didn’t quickly get UMPTEENTH, but recognized (in my mathematics teacher mind) that …NBH made zero sense as an ending for ‘an unspecified large number’ and most likely ended in (good ol’) NTH!

@David F Never in all my years of teaching have l ever heard a kid ‘comeback’ with such a proper ARE SO. I TOO, had ARE TO, knowing in my educator brain it would be ARE TOO…I also know if my kids were writing the retort it would be ARE TO.
