I am typically anti-rebus, but getting to do a crossword and play Minesweeper at the same time was absolutely BRILLIANT. Well done!

I didn't love how the answer for 5D was both the city and the country, when the clue only referenced the city. Maybe that's SOP and I'm just out of the loop. Apart from that, I enjoyed the puzzle and thought it was appropriate for a Friday.

Hidden rebuses are the bane of my crossword existence, but I'm glad other folks have a good time with them. Hopefully that'll be me one day.

@Charlotte agreed. As a semi-regular NYT crossword solver for three years now, this would've easily been my hardest Wednesday puzzle yet.

Enjoyed the puzzle, but have to ask, am I missing something with Gen Alpha? Aren't the oldest ones just now turning 16, and therefore a bit young to be joining fraternities?
