@Jess wow- I mean, just wow. It’s comments like yours that make people’s days, and now mine is most definitely better for it. I will most definitely be hanging in there, and truly appreciate the validation - maybe in a few years I can be giving similar affirmations towards newbies like me, as a more experienced newbie :)
I am, relative to those who I see commenting, a complete noob at the NYT crossword That said, I’ve done my fair share of Sundays, and I can confidently say that this is my least favorite so far, and more frustrating than when I first learned what a REBUS was. And it’s entirely thanks to the top left of this puzzle. I don’t know if it’s just me (it probably is), but other than 1A and 3D, that section of the puzzle remained unfilled until I was left unfulfilled at the end What a frustrating end to what would have otherwise been an okay-Sunday
@Matt Cipro is the brand name for ciprofloxacin Fun fact: your local county likely stocks hundreds or thousands of 1000-ct bottles of ciprofloxacin and other antidotes in case of a bioterrorism attack!
