This was the hardest clue for OREO that I’ve come across!
@Estherlee once the puzzle is correct they will change automatically. I had JAM instead of DAM and once I fixed that it clicked
I used to dread Saturday puzzles but lately those and Friday are the one I look most forward to. Fun puzzle today and only one look up.
Love seeing the EEL river as a clue for this common answer.
@debamlen I’m curious about the connection with horse gaits and the crossword. There are likely other ways to clue things but I often see horse gaits used as clues and as answers and as a horsewoman these catch my eye. TIA.
Column was very helpful, especially how you two thought through possible answers. Thank you.
I struggled with this one. Not sure why, but had to look up a lot plus the column and comments. Cute theme but tough clues, for me at least.
Totally not in my wheelhouse, had to resort to all clues, comments and the answer key to finish.
A horse can be dappled and any horse can have dapples- in summer my bay has lovely dapples on his rump - but a horse with a spotted coat is probably an Appaloosa. Can someone please ask a horse person before clueing horse related terms?? A better clue would have been “spot on a horse’s coat.”
Really hated the IS PEPSI OK line but otherwise a challenge for a Friday.
@Mean Old Lady Re-shod - as a horse owner that’s what I’d say anyway.
