I went from annoyed and frustrated with the clueing early on to increasingly amused and appreciative. This was one of the most clever and satisfying fills I’ve done in a long time.

I kept thinking IRS couldn’t be the answer because the clue was Dodgers “foes”, rather than “foe.” I thought I had the White Russians answer right away, but used “TS” instead of “CZ” because that’s the usual format in these puzzles. Finally clicked that I was wrong. Anyway, just wanted to echo what many others have said — cluing here seems off.
