Sorry you are under the weather, Deb. Take care of yourself and get better soon!
Deb: Sorry to hear that you and Sam are not feeling well. Get better soon!
Sorry you had a lot of trouble constructing this one. But, it was very much worth it! I had a good laugh with every one of the theme answers as they emerged. Excellent!
My chiropractor overcharged me, but when I showed them the bill, they MADE AN ADJUSTMENT. Ha. Ha. Ha.
@LStott If you're "crushing" on someone, you are infatuated with them, so you might be kind of MOONY-eyed.
This was pretty amazing! It seems so smooth and effortless but must have been a real challenge to put together and make it work. Plus, making it a Monday puzzle is a stroke of genius in helping starting solvers to see what fun lies ahead!
Deb, there's a little typo - in the Constructor Notes, it mentions the original clue for DEEP DIVE but that should be for DEEP END.
Well, I guess the average of yesterday's difficulty and today's is about right.
@DQ To be fair, this puzzle was almost certainly constructed at a time when you would have had a different reaction. But at least take some delight in that it crosses URALS, with SSR not to far away!
@Ari C Doh! Thanks. The ONE definition of "pin" I didn't think of, naturally . . .
Finally E*TRADE gets spelled correctly in a crossword! And M*A*S*H! So great! This was a super fun puzzle, thank you!
Should the "fill" in this puzzle be LOX and CREAM CHEESE?
This is absolutely hilarious. The "not quite" answers are the cherry on the sundae, so to speak. Perfect!!!
Love the video! Thanks! Made my day.
Wow, a truly amazing feat of construction! I am in awe.
Great job! Congratulations! I'm very much looking forward to solving more of your puzzles.
Wow, that was a doozy of a debut!!! Thank you.
Sam - yes, ETAIL is a pretty common word "in the biz" - it even made it into Merriam-Webster: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/e-tail
@Andrzej Sakes alive! Thanks for that, now I see ...
How is a "spot for a pin" a MAT? I can see HAT or MAP, but MAT? I must be missing something.
I don't get 42 down ... SAKES for Benefits ? I mean, I guess that Japanese rice wine probably has health benefits, but I don't think that's it ...
So, I'm dying of curiosity - what was the brainstorm from Joel that finally enabled the pangram? I'm guessing it was the X/K?
@Roberto Given that it's Christina Iverson, I have to assume that the appearance of both OREO and ESSO in the same puzzle is done with a wink and a nod!!!
@Jane Wheelaghan In football, the quarterback (QB) yells HUT to indicate it is time to snap the ball.
@Felicia Well except it has an S at the end. So it would have to be everyone in the family of the inventor? A little weird.
@Menc Yeah, I think having four Naticks in the Mini is not really a good thing. Almost 10% of the squares are Naticks!
@Sam Corbin Yes, definitely an odd one! But . . . three vowels! No wonder you mostly see it in crosswords . . .
