Exceptional puzzle with lots of humor. Congratulations on your debut! Please make more!
Ball two is a brilliant clue.
A real knowledge test today! But constructed with great skill. ROMEO and POX IRISH and COLLEEN RAKI, WINE, and VODKA WANDERS, ITINERANT, and HANK SNOW HANK crossing HANK It's a lot to look at.
Very nice cluing. Believe it or not there are TWO Malaysian words in this puzzle. Penang of course, and amok, which may mean unchecked in English, but in it's original language still means on a wild rampage. Unrelated, but in Cambodia amok is a fish curry.
Excellent Saturday puzzle. Quite difficult, but not overly esoteric, and impressive to behold when finished.
@Petrol You never heard of Kunta Kinte? On behalf of the puzzle, you're welcome. He's as recently relevant as Kendrick Lamar's hit "King Kunta". https://youtu.be/hRK7PVJFbS8?si=0QB6LxEpFkpTlRwl (Explicit) I don't know if Equal Employment Opportunity or Good Old Raisins & Peanuts will get you as much cultural traction, but they belong to general knowledge, and Crosswordese. You'll probably see them again.
So cool to see how those words could be rearranged.
Great job Jesse! A real toughie, but not in the way where I have to guess retired athletes' names.
That was really enjoyable. If anyone wants to try Minesweeper, and you have Netflix and a tablet, they have a nice version.
@CRTH So onward go and Edward ho Into the bounding MAIN Enjoy the show, look out below But mind the misty sea or end up Sad like Mr. Me.
@Tom S. If you're in Phoenix you must have seen them around. Mexican places that make their own salsa often serve it in little fake plastic molcajetes.
I've never heard of "connect the dots" referred to as "dot to dot". Is this regional? I grew up in New Jersey.
@SP Mole has a great etymology. It's the pre-Colombian Nahuatl word for sauce, and guacamole is just a shortening of aguacate mole, or avocado sauce.
Nice cluing. Oblique but precise.
Don't refer to Silverstone film so much in crossword? Deceit of an Indian footballer? Foot ailment of an Italian born in January?
Bumpy jumpers, nice. Friend of Scroopy Noopers? I'm not sure YouTube videos count as broadcasts.
Holy smokes, I just shaved 10% off my best Sunday time.
@Weak Yup, faster than yesterday for me.
