I thought KNEES was clever wordplay - as in one end of the word "lap", which would be a KNEESlap. Anyone else?
@Heidi My favourite is 'pandiculation' - that stretch everyone's familiar with when they first wake up. Seems like a word that we don't *need*, but I love that it exists.
The misdirection in 11D was great! Since I'm not much of a Disney buff and only ever watched The Jungle Book as a kid, I had Shere Khan the TIGER for 49A. Seemed correct to me since POST GRAD DGS fits and matches the abbreviations. But we got there eventually...
@Ann Yep, last letter for me was the K in TOKE. Just guessing since I didn't know AKIRA and everything else seemed right. I always find it amazing how fair the puzzles are once my frustration with searching for an error is over - either by luck, skill, or admission of my ignorance.
