I've never achieved a Thursday before. Thanks for throwing us a bone. FYI infants wear onesies, not toddlers.
Either I woke up extra smart, or this puzzle was extra easy. Disappointing, frankly, to have the puzzle focused on International Women's Day be so unchallenging. :(
@LW Totally agree. You summed it up beautifully. The Sunday NYT crossword is supposed to be tricky, not trivial. This was more like a TV Guide puzzle asking for actors's last names etc. Had to change the challenge to how fast I could do it with no errors, to make it more fun!
@Cam The French clues were pretty low bar. But I'm Canadian so maybe harder for a US audience?
I'm glad other commenters enjoyed this one. I found it waaaaaay too easy for a Wednesday. This was Monday-lite. Boring. :(
@Anonymous I agree that this collection of names that have NOTHING in common other than fame and genitals was uninspiring. Surely women can be celebrated a little more "sagaciously"!
"Provided assistance" is PAST TENSE!
@Barry Ancona Nope. You're not correct. But someone else pointed out that the clue can be read as an adjective, making the answer a noun. Which is correct (and fun and tricky).
@Barry Ancona arg! How do I delete my reply?
