Enjoyed this puzzle but, NOCAP? Not a clue. Had to ask the wife who teaches middle school and knows all the modern slang that I’m not hip to. I like the usage example from ChatGPT. “That was the best pizza I’ve ever had, no cap.” Will have to work it into my repertoire.

Actually the pesto/tomato order is backwards as I’ve been eating it all summer. 1- Toast a piece of homemade whole wheat sourdough bread 2- Slather on homemade walnut pesto 3- Sliced tomatoes atop the pesto 4- Stuff in your mouth, chewing optional but recommended That’s it. You’re welcome.

9D had to be SANDTRAPS. HAD to be. Until it wasn’t. Hate it when I’ve come up with the answer instantly only to find that it gorked up that whole section and had to be deleted.

I really wanted 110A to be “tossintheasthma” but was disappointed to see it didn’t fit.

@Chris. Exactly. In the Linux world the term package has a very specific meaning. It’s typically an application that is installed via a package manager that can vary based on the flavor of Linux your are running. A distro (shirt for distribution) is an entire OS. Same as you, once I saw the “d” as the first letter I got the answer and then scoffed at the poorly worded clue.

@jean r. I did a screenshot of the puzzle. Then used drawing tools to connect the letters and get the shape. Easy to do on a Mac or an iPhone. On Windows I’m sure it’s also doable.

@Katie Household names? I guess it depends on the household. While I didn’t have any trouble with these names I’m sure there are plenty of folks who do not follow women’s sports (for the 3 sporting women) or any sports at all.

@Steve L Something must be done about Adam. Apparently he has an interest that you don’t share. The nerve of the guy.

@Francis. I know it’s rare to see any nitpicking in the comments but to be precise, the quote was “nattering nabobs of negativism”.

@Esmerelda Never said they weren’t fair game…and I had no problem with any of those clues. A very simple point…many people do not follow sports. Men’s or women’s. An old workmate mentioned many years ago that he had no interest in following sports. When I asked him why he responded “I don’t see the point in watching other people exercise.” Frankly I always thought this an odd perspective since it ignores the skill, determination and courage to compete at elite levels. But hey…some people just aren’t into it and may not know these names.

@Mean Old Lady I recently discovered Azure Standard: https://azurestandard.com/ An excellent source of organic flours, grains and other food stuffs. Order as much (or as little) as you like for zero delivery fees. Their rye flour is 1/3 of what KA charges. The catch? They send out a truck to a local “drop”. You go to the drop, grab your goodies and are on your way. Dark rye flour sitting in my cupboard now alongside wheat berries for home flour milling.

@Amy Definitely not Bobo. George encountered “Eric the clown” which is probably just as valid as Bobo.
