Such a delightful puzzle! The theme clues and entries were so clever. As a former English teacher, this one checked all the boxes for me. Thank you, and I look forward to the next one if you choose to make another!
I really enjoyed the cleverness of the themed clues and answers. One thing I'd change: 25 down isn't TRAPPS, it's VON TRAPPS. Perhaps the clue could be adjusted so that just the last bit can be the answer without omitting the important "Von".
I'm sorry, I just didn't find this puzzle elegant. I had more trouble with it than most other puzzles I've done. It seemed quite a bit more difficult than my expectation of a Sunday puzzle.
I thoroughly enjoyed doing this puzzle! And what a bonus at the end--I sat there looking at the puzzle for a good long while when it was done.
I was chuckling through most of this puzzle. It was truly a delight from start to finish, and so clever. Thank you!
I thought the answer to Once, for one was indeed "marvelously devious". My one qualm (see what I did there?) was that there actually is no Gen Y; we call them Millennials.
What a clever puzzle! I thoroughly enjoyed it. 65A was impressive all alone in making the answer fit, but the piece de resistance was Dijon-mustered "yes"? Kudos to you!
Exceedingly clever--working the theme within the theme! I laughed out loud multiple times, leaving me shaken with glee, not just stirred. Bravo!
A fun and challenging puzzle that I needed help to finish. I'm afraid I have a correction in the corresponding Wordplay column. Chalking it up to either autocorrect or indeed this "fractious world", toward the end it should read, "In the time-dependent version of Schrödinger’s equation, [its] function is to..." I'm available for future editing jobs.
Have mercy! For me, it was indeed scorchingly difficult. I wish I could say I enjoyed the challenge. Respectfully, I feel pretty jerked around.
