One of my favorite puzzles in a long time!!! Perhaps a bit easy for a Saturday but very deserving of a weekend slot. Provided me chuckle after chuckle after aha moment during the entire back half of the solve on a beautiful snowy morning here in NY. Loved it! Thanks Spencer & Jem!

Everyone saying SETTLE/METTLE tripped them up. The issue in that area for me was TCBY. I looked it up and there are only ~10 That Can't Be Yogurt locations all only in suburbs of the tri-state area. To me, that's a huge stretch to expect almost anyone to know, especially on an acronym answer. If I had known that I could have gotten MY MAN and in turn been more confident about METTLE. Thankfully I landed on a solve by getting it down to the final letter and trying the whole alphabet.
