Loved this puzzle's theme, really fun. Except it took us forever to realise it was CORIOLUS, not CARIOLUS; either O or A work as the end of 38 down. Still, this was clever and we had fun solving it. Thank you.
That was a fun theme, thank you.
Lots of fun words here, eg WELLSORTA, STAYSMAD, and the puzzle was definitely a good challenge. Nitpicks: As a Brit and Great British Bake Off viewer, I can't remember anyone mentioning PANLOAF. The lower left corner, with nouns like HELIOSTAT, BWANA and NEMEA was rough.
This was fun, especially after I clocked that the double-crosser and double-crossed were connected. Thanks!
This was mostly fun. The upper left corner gave me problems until it finally clicked. The top two across clues gave me problems. After finally solving the puzzle, they strike me as similar in construction -- they're using words ('fish' and 'grab') in a euphemistic sort of way -- but only one clue (15A) has a question mark. It made me think one was literal and the other playful. Add to it that I didn't know the units in MRIs or musical terms (although poco a poco makes sense even without knowing the musical term) and that corner was tedious. Otherwise was a fun challenge.
This is a repeat of many other comments but it's frustrating that the underlined letters in the clues weren't on the app, or at least a note behind the 'i' icon. There have been several nice interactive and design flourishes lately online (eg confetti and a jumping Evel Knievel), would like to see the full clues being displayed. As much as I enjoy Gameplay we shouldn't have to read an accompanying blog to understand how the clues lead to their answers.
I really enjoyed most of this but OTC for "Needing no script" was really hard to puzzle out. I finally realized it's "over the counter" and the "script" is a shortening of prescription. The rest of the puzzle was a lot of fun, though!
