I was not sure of many of my fills, but the app says I’m done, and who am I to question it.
I find it funny to see DOGNAP mean something very different from catnap.
Somehow I was convinced that the period coinciding with the growth of the internet should be something unrelated to the internet itself, and so, went for SITCOM BOOM. (DOPE SLAP).
I had CAVS for MAVS, and spent a long time convincing myself, as one can, that ONE CAN is indeed a thing.
Sorry I do not like the new UI skin for the app. The same data now takes up more real estate, making me having to scroll needlessly within the app. I don’t understand if there was even an issue with the previous skin. Can NYT explain the rationale?

I thought 13D would be ‘TiPINS’ (as in basketball).
I tried (YE)(S), which would make the Across answers right, but obviously it didn’t work. I feel this too should have been acceptable.
I don’t think there is even a chief Hindu god.
I usually skip Sundays because the grid is too big, and therefore, the letters appear too small on my cell phone. Today however, I forced myself to solve it, to “atone” for the fact that I couldn’t finish yesterday’s puzzle, and I’ve been solving Saturdays for the last 9 weeks.
@Patrick Gold sneakers being a steal at $400 would be no less incorrect, I suppose.
