Delighted to see an unsettling fish fact that's not about "eels" for once

Happy to see the -other- other big flightless bird included today. Less happy to be reminded of the uncanny deepfake nightmare that are "eels."

It took me all day, but I finished another week's streak on my own. I still hesitate before I write in EELS, as if I should save it for someone else, a fellow non-believer. Maybe they think of me as they realize the fill, too.

Several hours on land?? Unb-eel-ievable.

Great puzzle, except for the eels. Eels aren't real.

EELED as a verb is indeed a (slimy, rather squirmy) stretch, unless you're into cryptozoology! I've greatly enjoyed the times I've BIGFOOTED and NOTDEERED (no luck either time, sadly).
