A brief rant, if I may. When I come across comments like the one at the top of this thread, I always think: well, if there's too much fill, the words are too obscure, the clues are too easy, then why the heck don't you try constructing a crossword and getting it published? Getting the words to fit, the rebuses to work, and the clues clever and different all takes a lot of serious big brain work and I, for one, appreciate what the constructors do. I may not love every puzzle but I am always in awe and appreciative.
